Objective:
Design a series of experiences at a specific physical location for three timescales that engages users emotionally. The timescales are defined as the following durations:
-Event that lasts for 1 hour
-Installation that exists for 10 years
-Site (re)design that impacts the environment/community for the next 100 years (the foreseeable future)
THE BRAND:
ReFrame intends to spread awareness of the long-term consequences of consumer nature surrounding electronic usage and affect change by promoting a conservational mindset in buyers. A broader understanding of e-waste will lead to policy and accountability of corporate entities that contribute the most to this global burden.
THE 1 HOUR EVENT: E-AT WITH US
E-AT W US is a 1 hour long event put on by ReFrame.
1 Hour is the time that most New Yorkers get for their lunch break.
E-AT W US’s pop-up will draw people in through its food vendors- current trending New York eats.
This lunch experience is designed to educate millennials on the global issue that is electronic waste.
E-at W Us does not accept cash or card, rather old devices are used as your source of payment, therefore the pop up is also a drop off point for used technology.
The space is designed to be an immersive food hall, where people will enjoy their meals while learning about electronic waste and its various harms.
Participants will come out of their lunch with a new understanding of E-waste, as well as resources and tools for how to move forward in our quickly advancing society.
